Drugstore Haul! ft. Loreal, Essie, Covergirl & More!

Hello my lovelies! I am back with another haul post and I think it will be the last one for a while so definitely look forward to product reviews, makeup looks and monthly favorites! =) Anyways enough of the chitchat, let's get right into it! 

** WARNING! This will be a very lengthy post!!! You have been warned!! **

So I was looking through some flyers and came across Shoppers ( it's a Canadian version of like Walgreens in the states ) and they had some awesome deals going on so I had to go check it out. 

The first area I went to was Loreal and their Colour Riche lip products were on sale for $6.99  ( regularly priced at $13.49 I believe ) so I had to pick up some most raved about Color Riche Lip Caresse Shine Stain. People have been saying that these are comparable to the YSL Lip Stain but at a budget friendly price =) The shades that I managed to pick up was 188 Coral Tattoo, 189 Pink Rebellion and 190 Endless Red. I can't wait to try these babies out and compare them to the YSL ones I have.

Next I was wanting a new mascara for some odd reason so when I saw some Loreal ones on sale I thought why not. The one that I picked up was the Voluminous False Fiber Lashes in the waterproof formula because waterproof formulas are the only ones that will actually hold the curl for a long period of time, and this mascara has gotten good reviews on it and I love mascaras that gives lengths just cause I need it lol! 

So then I moved onto the Covergirl section and I'm pretty sure you guys can guess what I picked up right? If you guessed Covergirl Stay Fabulous Outlast 3 in 1 Foundation then you can give yourself a pat on the back hehe! Of course I purchased this because of all the great reviews from different blogs and Youtube videos. I have already swatched it on my hands and I think I might have gotten a shade too dark so I'll have to head back to the store and exchange for another shade but the formula feels great, the coverage seems great but I'll see if it works with my skin later. 

As you guys know that I'm kind of a nail polish addict so I was browsing that section and I saw a Essie stand so I thought it was the new Resort collection but it was their Spring collection but the thing that got me was that this collection was on sale for $6 each and the regular price was $11.99 I believe so I grabbed the last three remaining ones without thinking. The shades that I got was Madison Hue Ave, Bond With Whomever & Avenue Maintain. 

Next I needed to pick up some nose strips and my favorite are the Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips. I haven't used one in ages and I took the opportunity last night to use it and it felt so good and I got alot of my whiteheads out ( yeah the strip looked pretty gross.. lol ) I would definitely recommend this product for anyone that is looking for something like this. And I also managed to pick up Maybelline The Flash Clean Makeup Removing Lotion cause I'm always on the hunt for a good but affordable makeup remover and I've been hearing good stuff about this line so why not give it a try. 

This was something new that I noticed and I haven't heard much reviews on this line but it seems to be okay so I thought I would give it a try and it's the Olay Fresh Effects BB Cream I don't recall trying anything from Olay ( they are best known for products for mature skin and such ) so I thought this would be a good start! 

I was watching one of Missglamorazzi 's videos ( I can't remember which one it was lol ) but she was raving about these new lip balms and I thought it was really cute so I just had to pick it up! It's the Nivea Lip Butter in the Vanilla & Macadamia scent and I'm not really a fan of vanilla scented products but when I smelt this, it just smelt like chocolate so I was quite happy about that! 

On another day I headed to Walmart to pick up some essentials and not thinking I would go to the cosmetics area but sadly I did =( but I'm glad cause if I didn't I wouldn't have discovered Real Techniques Makeup Brushes By Samantha Chapman! I was really happy when I saw these because I thought I would never get a chance to get my hands on them, now I can see if it's really worth the hype! I picked up the set for face brushes and I might go back for the eye brushes set if these ones are good =) 

I will have to say that this was kind of an impulse buy but seriously it was too cute to pass up! I first saw it on Thatsheart 's instagram and then I saw it in store, if you've guessed Marc Jacobs Daisy Sunshine then you are correct! I'm not the best person to describe scents but I'll give it a try. 
The original Daisy from the permanent line is more of a floral and musky scent where as Daisy Sunshine is more on the fruity side yet there's some hints of floral. So if you're a fan of the original then I would definitely recommend you go and smell this and possibly purchase it as well because it is a limited edition. 

Last but not least I picked this up on a whim and the packaging definitely suckered me in, it's the Bath&Body Works Lemon Mint Leaf Candle and if you guys know me then you know that I'm a sucker for anything that has citrus in it and the color of the candle definitely got me too! This candle will make my room have the scent of freshness which I like hehe

Collective Haul ft. MAC, Lancome, Butter London & Drugstore

Hello! It really has been a while since I last sat down to type up a blog post.. I will have to admit that I did lose my " interest " in blogging during my time of absence but I will definitely try my hardest to get back into the game! Anyways enough of me blabbing, let's move on to the haul!

I hope that you guys were able to pick up one or two or more items from the MAC Archie collection because this collection is by far the cutest collection released yet this year! =) I was really hoping that I could have gotten my hands on some of the lipsticks but by the time I got to a MAC counter everything was sold out already ( I went a day after the collection was released ) But I was glad to get my hands on the blushes and a pearlmatte face powder. 

I also bought a Lancome Blush Subtil Palette because I was a shopping mood at the time and I remember seeing Michelle Phan using it in her tutorials and I was interested in it so when I saw it at a local Lancome counter, I knew I wanted to get my hands on it. And it's definitely travel friendly! Why bring 3 items when you only have to bring one item? =)

Note! I haven't swatched " Cream Soda " or " Flatter Me " because I haven't had the chance to try them out yet! But I will say that I have been loving " Prom Princess " it's a really pigmentated blush so you only need a little bit to give you that " I've just been outside " rosy cheeks ( I'm talking about when it's the winter time kind of outside hahaha!! ) 

Now you guys know that I'm a nail polish addict so of course with spring coming up pretty soon, companies are coming out with such cute pastel colors so when I saw Butter London's Sweetie Shop collection I knew I had to get my hands on some! 

The two shades that I went for were Kerfuffle ( Pink-y Coral ) and Molly Coddled ( Lavender ), there were three or four other shades but I felt I had familiar colors in my collection already. The other shade is from their permanent collection which is Artful Dodger ( Teal ) and it just looked like a really pretty shade. 

FYI: I don't really follow the trends when it comes to nail polish like during the winter season, you should wear darker shades but I would totally rock the hot pink shade just to brighten up my mood =) 

Last but not least, as some of you would know if you read my past blog posts I was in Vegas during the last week of February! ( Yup, I finally popped my Vegas cherry! LOL ) and I didn't really go crazy when it came to makeup, it's kind of a good thing but at the same time I wish I had pick up more things. 

I was on the hunt for the Loreal Color Caresse Lip Shine Stain and I finally found them but it didn't seem that much cheaper then I would buy at home so I only got one in " Rose On And On " Next item that I wanted was Essie's " Mint Candy Apple " ( as if I didn't have enough minty shades nail polish ) and I got my hands on it! I found it weird that where I live, no where had this shade. Next is Essie's Apricot Cuticle Oil and I think this is a new item that they released recently I believe and so far it's working out good I will let you know my thoughts in a future blog post. 

The last two items are more for skin and when I heard good reviews on the Maybelline Clean Express line I knew I wanted to get my hands on something. I thought the makeup remover was a good item to start with and this was pretty affordable ( I think it was around $7 USD ) and lastly I purchased Neutrogena Oil-Free Ance Wash Pink Grapefruit Cream Cleanser; I can't remember who was raving about this but I'm always on the look out for good cleanser to try out and I love anything with a citrus scent and of course the pink packaging! ( I'm just kidding about the pink packaging.. )

Tidbits! 

- Ah yes, I have included the most loved neutral colored palette yet again. You just can't get enough of neutrals, the color that I have used most is Sidecar, Buck, Sin and Naked. If you still haven't gotten your hands on this palette or Naked2 palette then I suggest you do, definitely a makeup item to splurge on but so worth it ( in my opinion ) =] 

- As I said before it's winter time where I live so my lips are definitely feeling the effects and trust me having cracked/dry lips isn't cute! And I have to say that the Loreal Colour Riche balms and Maybelline Baby Lips have been saving my lips and will definitely have a place in my makeup bag. They are both moisturizing and makes your lips look smooth and it will definitely come in handy cause Christmas and New Years is just around the corner ;) 

- I'm sure you guys know by now that I have a thing for blushes! I swear I have enough to last me a couple years... HAHA! So I have been going through my collection and seeing if I can find new favorites or rediscover some old favorites! When I came across Pink Tea, I knew it was going to be a new favorite; in the pan it may appear a little light but it'll appear darker when applied to the cheeks. 

- I will be doing a review on the Lancome foundation pretty soon! So watch out for that! =)

Tidbits!

- I bought the Guerlain Meteorites powder on a whim and at the time when I bought it, it was the talked about product on the blogs I was reading. First Impressions: It gives me the glow-y yet somewhat matte and I liked that =) With this and the Urban Decay setting spray, it is the duo for long lasting makeup! 

- I'm sure that I have mentioned this before but MAC Melba blush is slowly becoming a favorite/staple in my makeup collection! In the pan it looks like a light peach-y orange shade, but when I apply it to the face it comes out a little darker and I can see it as a contouring shade for me. It's like a 2 in 1 product! 

- I will have to admit that I absolutely hated the Loreal Lineur Intense Liquid Brush Tip Eyeliner and now I'm liking it! I think the problem was that I didn't know how to control it and also the brush tip applicator was really flimsy. But now with a really steady hand, it's actually pretty easy to use! Definitely recommend to others that have used eyeliner for a long time but not for beginners. 

- Speaking of eyeliners, there's another one that I have been liking last month and it's the Dollywink liquid eyeliner because the applicator is a really fine pointy brush tip so you can really get the precise line that you need/want. Sadly I didn't get much backup of this when I was in HK back in May =( 

- Have to say that Maybelline is probably one of my favorite drugstore brands because I'm a fan of their eyeshadow and mascara! I recently started using Define-A-Lash and I have to say that it really does define each of my lashes! I first have to have a good curl on them from my eyelash curler and then I would wiggle the brush from the bottom to the tip of my eyelashes, then it would give me the best results! FACT~ I think for me I look for more definition in my lashes then for volume =)

Haul ft. Revlon, Steve Madden & More!

Well well, it's been a while since I last updated my blog isn't it? I guess it's due to the busy work life that has been consuming me but that's life right? =) Anyways I thought that I would come back with a haul! If you have been a long time reader of my blog then you would know that I love doing haul posts before, but now I want to do it once in a while because it actually adds up and I can't finish all the products that I keep hoarding like seriously -____- HAHA! TIDBITS!

- I definitely looked like a crazy women when I was stalking my local drugstore for them Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain because I really want to get my hands on them and plus my sister was interested in them too ( she's not the really girly type of girl as compared to me LOL ) 

And it really makes me mad how when a product is released in the US, other countries have to wait a couple months before they can get their hands on it! I mean why can't it just be released at the same time!? D< 

- First impressions of the lip stain is that I like them! =D They definitely do last for a while on the lips and leaves a nice stain that lasts till the very end of the day. I will be doing a review & comparisons very soon! But I do recommend you guys to go grab them when you see them! 

- I haven't bought MAC products in a while so I thought I would go check out to see if they had anything new and of course the item that I pick up is a blush! Supercontinential is a gorgeous darker peachy coral shade then most and I knew that I had to have it in my collection. 

- Like I need another pair of heels right? But I seriously love this one because it's just so simple yet elegant at the same time! Can't wait to wear these babies out! =)

May/June Favorites!

Hello Blogging world! It's been a while since the last post I did hey? Well I've just been busy with other things at the moment but today I thought since I have some time I would update my blog! I wasn't sure what post I would do but then I thought I didn't do a favorites for May and June is coming to an end so I thought why not combine the two? 

There will be three parts to this because there is just so many products to go through! First will be makeup, second skincare and the third is nail polishes! So let's get started~ =) 

The Stars! 

- Urban Decay Naked Palette; The only shades I have been using is Virgin for highlight/brow bone, Sidecar for all over the lid and Buck on the outer crease.  

- Benefit Hoola; This has become my go-to contouring powder 

- Maybelline Dream Matte Powder 

- Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation; This is becoming a favorite go to foundation, a review will be coming up! 

- Skin79 Super BB Cream 

- Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation; This is probably be my go to foundation for the summertime. 

- MAC Blush in Pinch O' Peach; If you have been reading my blog then you know that I'm blush lover but I don't know why I can't put this blush down, I guess it's because it's the perfect go to blush for my skin tone and I love the way it looks on my skin =) 

- Maybelline Eye Studio Color Explosion Quad in Caffeine Rush; This is a great eyeshadow quad for any beginners out there, great color pay off and it's a drugstore product. 

- Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer & Bobbi Brown Corrector; I like mixing these two together because it gives me the right amount of coverage I need so I can hide them dark circles lol. 

- Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus mascara; I can honestly say that this is becoming one of my holy grail mascara! And that's saying alot because I haven't been able to find the right one until now! 

- Physician's Formula Eye Booster Liquid Eyeliner; I must say this has been a good product to me, it lasts all day without smudging even in the rain! I love it! 

- Loreal Color Riche Lip Balm in Nourishing Nude; This has been a everyday lip color for me and it's really moisturizing! 

- Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm in Peach Kiss

- Revlon Lip Butter in Lollipop; This has been a go-to lip color if I was feeling a little bit bold ;) 

Now on to Skincare! 

The Stars! 

- Chanel Lotion Purete Fresh Mattifying Toner; I have been liking this product because it leaves my skin feeling nice and smooth after I have washed my face in the evening. 

- Biore Warming Anti-Blackhead Cream Cleanser; This has been a recent purchase but it's slowly making it's way into my nightly routine, will do a review after a couple more usages. 

- Skin Food Rice Mask Wash Off; This is also making it's way into my nightly routine, I love the way it feels on my face and after I wash my face; nice and smooth. 

- Philosophy Purity; I wasn't sure what was all the hype about this product was but now I do! It does help clear off all makeup and feels my face feeling clean! 

- My Beauty Diary Peach Soda Eye & Lip Makeup Remover; I really love this product! It will take off everything including the stubborn Majolica Majorca mascara! 

- Clarisonic Mia; I use this with Philosophy Purity and it gets my face extra clean =) 

Phew! Almost there! I hope you guys are still with me! =) Let's get into nail polishes!

- Butter London Nail Foundation & Butter London Hard Wear Quick Top Coat; This is probably my favorite base and top coat! They both dry really fast and makes my manicures last longer =) 

- Chanel " May " ; Do you remember the post I did with this nail polish and I said that I absolutely hated it? Well I have changed my mind on it because I don't find it hard to apply anymore and it is an absolute beautiful rose-y pink color. 

- Nicole By OPI " All Kendall-ed Up; This is the only bold color out of the bunch and I really like it, that's all I can say about it lol. 

- Essie " A Crewed Interest "; This is a limited edition one so I don't know if you can get your hands on it anymore but if you did then yay! because it is an absolutely beautiful creamy peachy color and I adore that! 

- China Glaze " For Audrey "; What can I say, I love this color! =) I'm not too sure if this is a dupe for the infamous Tiffany's color but it's an absolute beautiful color! 

- Essie " Bikini So Teeny " ; This is probably the one color that everyone is trying to get their hands on and I can't blame them because it's a gorgeous baby blue with some shimmer, perfect color to wear to the beach =)

Tidbits!

- I have been eyeing OPI's New York City Ballet collection very since I saw the official photo(s) on OPI's Twitter and I just knew that I would get alot of use out because the colors are so soft and great for everyday wear. And I'm definitely a fan of the jelly finish of nail polishes so I knew I had to get my hands on them! 

- I wasn't planning on getting the Revlon(s) and Loreal(s) lipsticks but I was randomly at the drugstore and I saw the sign for $3.99 on Revlon lipsticks and $6.99 for Loreal lipsticks so I thought I would grab a couple :) Even the Colorburst Lip Butters were part of the sale at the time but of course by the time I got there, the racks were rapped :( 

- Another item that I wasn't planning on buying was the Sephora + Pantone Universe blush duo but when I was inside the Sephora, I didn't see it at the first display they had and then I saw another display for it and there was only one left, I left it at first but then I just kept thinking about it so I went back and grab it before someone else did :) Yes, that is how I shop >D 

- I literally jumped for joy when I saw the Beauty Blender at the area where the check out was but I definitely wasn't loving the price tag it came with it so it better be worth the price I paid for it! 

- A First Impression Mini Review: YSL Rouge Pur Couture Vernis A Levres Glossy Stain 

I will have to say that I haven't tried alot of lip stains in my life but I will say that THIS product has to be the best lip stain I have ever tried!! It's one that doesn't dry out my lips, and the pigmentation is amazing! I will be doing a full review on these babies once I have tested them out a little more ;) 

Well that's all guys! I do have one more purchase that I want to show you guys but it's going to have to wait till next time and I'm so excited to use it!!! Tidbits!

- Surprisingly everything that I got here was on sale and from the drugstore! :) I'm actually surprised that there was nothing from Sephora cause that place is like heaven for me and I ALWAYS end up buying something from there -___-

- Ever since the Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blushes came out, I was really intrigued by how it would perform and of course everyone was getting their hands on them in the US before I could get a hold of them here in Canada :( so obviously I went and looked up reviews and it was 50/50. I only picked up the darker shades because the reviews were saying these were more pigmentated then the lighter shades and I didn't want to waste my money.

My first impression of these bouncy blushes are that they are fun to play with it's like playing with play-doh :D and the pigmentation is good :) I will be doing a full review once I play with them a little bit more!

- Lip liner is usually not the first beauty product I would go towards but when I saw Chelsea from http://www.youtube.com/user/xclosetoreal February's Favorites video, I really liked the color that was on her lips and I'm glad that she said the lip combo she was wearing in! :) The color that she was wearing was Rimmel's lip liner in Eastend Snob ( I'm still sad that mine broke on the day that I purchased it >__< ) definitely recommend you guys to go check out this lip liner and of course the beautiful Chelsea :)
